CAYMAN KINGS are five young Garagepunks from Lille, who have developed a wild
live-reputation this past year. Whoever saw them at the Soundflat Records
Ballroom Bash or at another one of their incredible live-shows definitely
knows what we're talking about! The boys are full of energy and deliver an
outrageous sound, enslaved to the fuzz guitar, a dominant vintage organ,
strong vocals and a dirty, primitive garagepunk-sound! Their debut album
"Suffering Chelsea Boots" is an absolute eyecatcher with its
fantastic cover-artwork. And once you put the needle on the record, you just
have to turn the volume up to this wild sound and you know right away, that
this is what Garagepunk is supposed to sound like! Incredible, heavy fuzz
guitars, a wild organ and screaming, strong vocals add up to a dirty and loud
record. Their sound is influenced by THE SONICS, SPENCER DAVIS GROUP or THE
STROLLERS and also shows resemblance to the X-RAY HARPOONS. You have wild
hits such as "Same Old" and "Every Dog Has Its Day", but
also the slightly calmer, sinister songs "Two Lovers" or "Eyes
On The Prize". Altogether the CAYMAN KINGS' "Suffering Chelsea
Boots" is a wild garagepunk-debutn album with a cool, fuzz- and

is around the corner and marks the second chapter of the X Series on CEP
Records. With this release we welcome vinyl head Eubo from Glasgow to the
label. From the first track he sent us it was clear that this is the
direction we want to push. A strong old-school influence, shaped by vinyl
culture and the energy of the early two thousands. The connection felt
natural from the start. A1 'Iron' is probably the most intense track on the
record. A rolling bassline, sharp and slippy drums, and a lead that lays over
the track with deep mids. It brings a short moment of calm, while the drive
stays constant. A2 'Aluminium' stands out with its clear high hats and a
modular synth that recalls sweaty and dark mornings. The sound has a slightly
hypnotic and metallic touch. On the B side, 'Steel' moves through the
interplay of its synths. The kick and bass stay steady and driving. A
timeless track that can underline the peak moments in a DJ set. Closing the
release is 'Lead'. It brings a funky bass together with serious, almost

1992, Robin Storey (founding member of the pioneering post-industrial band
Zoviet*France) has been creating innovative and thought-provoking music under
the Rapoon moniker. Drawing inspiration from his early days with Z*F, he
continues to push the boundaries of ambient, industrial, and world music
genres, earning him a dedicated following across the globe. Originally
available in 1994 as a limited-edition DAT tape through Staalplaat Records,
'Cidar' was later included as a bonus CD in the reissue of another Rapoon
classic, 'Fallen Gods.' Now, after years of anticipation, fans can experience
this mesmerizing work as a stand-alone release - remastered and expanded with
three previously unreleased tracks from the original 1994 recording sessions.
'Cidar' showcases Robin's signature sound - a seamless blend of Z*F-inspired
drones and loops intertwined with vibrant African percussion and hauntingly

rooted in the foundations of early techno, built around percussion, groove,
and stripped-back functionality. As a driving force in the underground scene,
both as a DJ and the founder of the Frenzy and Vulged collectives, Isaiah
meticulously designed this EP for selectors and club settings. Opening with
'Monthly', the EP sets the tone with a punchy kick, crisp high-end percussion
and a driving bassline, while smeared textures and subtle effects create
depth within a minimal framework. 'Yearly' intensifies the approach, with
sharper hi-hats and layered mid percussion pushing the energy forward,
maintaining a hypnotic yet no-frills momentum.'Hourly' keeps the focus on
rhythm, pairing dense percussion work with a bouncing bassline that locks
into a steady groove, while occasional pad accents add flashes of brightness.
On the second half, 'Real' strips things back, centering around a rolling
bassline and sparse percussion, with shimmering synth touches guiding the
track into deeper territory. 'Everlasting' reintroduces a tougher edge,
driven by a hard-hitting kick and a bouncing low end, while eerie synth
elements add a darker tone. Closing the EP, Beau Didier, a rising force in
the Techno scene and fellow Frenzy collective member, reshapes 'Everlasting'
into a smoother, more low-end focused roller. Known for his heavy basslines
and powerful rhythms, Didier brings the bassline to the forefront, softens
the percussion and introduces vocal chops that expand the atmosphere. On his
debut EP on Regal's Backspin Records, the 8th release of the newborn imprint,
Isaiahpresents a focused collection of percussive techno tools built for

Returning
to Samurai Music following last year's Between Veils, Sciama opens up a new
portal of exacting sonic exploration with Wave Interaction. Moving through
dense drone shrouds, steely sound design and tense, taut rhythms, Michael
Watters lays out a manifesto for waveform resonance within the half-time
D&B tempo range. Wave Interaction is the precursor to a forthcoming album
that will lay out a purposeful study of the interaction between machine-made
sound waves and human perception, inspired by the teachings of early
electronic music pioneer Daphne Oram. As an opening statement, 'Cele'
maximises on a patient, spacious arrangement that allows the carefully
sculpted layers of waveforms to resonate with minimal distractions. Far from
minimal, it's a dense and evocative sound world Watters builds up.
'Excitation' brings more detailed percussive sequencing into the mix, teasing
pin-prick snatches of breakbeats and designer ripples that dart around the
psychoactive tonal elements in the mix. 'Intermodulaton I' opens the second
half of Wave Interaction on a crisp, stepping beat more than ready for the
club. As ever, functionality is only one part of the picture as further
uncanny sheets of ambiguously tuned synth work unfurl across the austere framework.
'Shifting Formants' has a knottier, tunnelling quality that joins the dots
with techno hypnotism, made all the more immersive by the harmonic overtones
radiating off the vibrant lead lines that give the track its distinctive
character. Guided by a clear intention and a finely honed studio practice,
the return of Sciama hails an impactful addition to his considerable
catalogue and tees up further compelling exploration on the impending long
player |

vinyl first pressing. Starting with the sleeve, reminiscent of comic book
style album covers from the 70’s and 80’s like The Upsetters “Return of the
Super Ape” and Scientist’s “Scientist Encounters Pac Man”, you know this
album is straddling the decades of ska, rocksteady, dub and reggae. King Zepha recorded vocals, sax, woodwinds,
keyboards, guitar and percussion at his home studio, with his fellow touring
band members adding “the stuff I can’t do particularly well” backing vocals,
brass, double bass and drums. The
resulting album was mixed down and mastered in true analogue style by Ross
Holden at Bradford’s Hohm Studios. The sound is nostalgic for heavy bass
sound systems with the wit and energy of early two tone. It’s clearly the
sound King Zepha worships. Citing his
most memorable gigs supporting Owen Grey and the Skatellites. But this is no history lesson, the album
has it’s fair share of jazz incursions.
“I’ve seen Ezra Collective a few times and I enjoy their energy and
inspired to see an instrumental jazz quartet selling out large venues and reaching
young and old audiences alike.” The lyrics are personal, sometimes whimsical,
but the overriding feel is joy and celebration. From Arabic influenced rub-a-dub
instrumentals, through party ska stompers, even a reinterpretation of Sammy
Davis Jnr’s “I’m a Brass Band” King Zepha knows exactly where he came from,
slowing down the tempo from today’s crop of “ska punk” bands, the sounds
perfectly fits the traditional double bass and and the low end trombone tremor
this album delivers in spades. King Zepha aka Sam Thornton got his name from
his trusted musical weapon of choice, the King Zephyr saxophone. He’s come some way from listening to his
dad’s jazz tapes in Leeds. “My first
love was the trumpet, but I couldn’t get to grips with it, and it gave me a
headache, so I switched to clarinet at the age of 8.” No headache guarantee

to the label with a unique project, revisiting the work of techno pioneer
Regis. Entitled "Power Is Neutral", the release sees Broom rework a
selection of seminal Regis recordings originally released on Downwards
Records across the albums Gymnastics (1996), Delivered Into The Hands Of
Indifference (1998) and Penetration (2001). Known as one of the key
architects of the Birmingham techno sound, Regis (Karl O'Connor) helped shape
British techno through his work as co-founder of Downwards Records and a
catalogue that continues to influence generations of artists. For Mark Broom,
few artists embody British rave culture quite like Regis. Drawing on source
material that has long stood as a cornerstone of UK techno, Broom approaches
these edits with both respect and imagination. As Regis puts it, "Mark
Broom is like some modern day Bagpuss... he has fired up his techno
mouseorgan and polished old relics to make them all shiny and new."

The
next vinyl release on Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR is accompanied by a digital
release dropping concurrently, with each format featuring a different track
by K' Alexi Shelby, Voltaire, Finder, The Lost Souldancer, Squal G and
Electric Rescue – it's double trouble or nothing! K' Alexi Shelby is a
prominent figure in electronic music with a career spanning decades. The cultivation of his massive music
catalogue has overflowed into albums and the three labels he heads. It's also led to legendary collaborations
with artists like The Pet Shop Boys, Robert Owens, Kenny Dixon, Roy Davis
Jr., Joe Smooth, Steve Silke Hurley, Tyree Cooper, Ron Trent, Glenn
Underground, Larry Heard, DJ Pierre, Carl Craig, Felix da Housecat, Marshall
Jefferson and more. He makes a welcome
return to COD3 QR with the jazzy house of opening track, "House Music de
Chicago". Voltaire has built his career through passion and a
perfectionist approach to music, creating a richly emotional eclecticism,
with inspiration from the pioneers of Detroit to the glorious electro decades
of the 2000s and 2010s. Today he's a
COD3 QR regular and released his debut album, "Echoes" on the label
last year. He leans into the realms of
house with a deep techy edge, for new track "Some House". Finder is
the alias of Radial (Jeroen Liebregts), originally from The Netherlands but
today residing in Spain. He started
mixing records around '98 and in 2002 teamed up with Bas Mooy to started the
now legendary label, Audio Assault.
He's also released on Token, Perc Trax, Mote-Evolver, Numb, Drumcode,
Planet Rhythm, Mord, Will & Ink and MDR, alongside his label, Radial
Records. As Finder he goes in a new
direction with "Team Dream". Benny Rodrigues a.k.a. ROD's other
moniker, The Lost Souldancer has already seen him drop "No More
Voices" and "Life and Death" for the label. In his own words, Benny says: "The
Lost Souldancer is about coping with the loss of what once was. Finding comfort in the invisible rather
than what can be seen. Disconnect to
connect in order to be loved rather than liked." He returns with another emotional journey
on "Magnolia". Producer and manager of Slates Records, Squal G is a
French artist who has been passionate about electronic music since the
'90s. Initially a DJ, he soon turned
to machines and computers. This
enabled him to progress with his production and remixes. He never tries to stick to a single style,
which, depending on his inspiration, can lead him to be more or less hard,
while remaining in the spirit of techno.
A popular COD3 QR regular, he's back with the intense techno of
"Crackle". French producer, DJ and live artist, Electric Rescue is
world renowned. His productions have
been signed on labels like Cocoon, Virgo, Arts, F Communications, COD3 QR,
Soma, Sci + Tec, Boys Noize and his own Skrypto¨m. Ahead of his forthcoming artist album (to
be released on COD3 QR in October) he closes the vinyl with the electro-tech
and wonderfully wonky machine funk of "Internet Was an Illusion" |

How
time flies when we’re talking truly classic House Music. Incredibly it is 35
years since the epic BREAK OF DAWN was released. Track creator Geoff Hibbert
had released the much loved A PLACE CALLED BLISS by CYCLONE on Network before
coming up with the stunning BOD. It was decided that a change of artist I/D
away from Techno/Bleep influenced Cyclone was required and RHYTHM ON THE
LOOSE was born. Network came up with an initial limited edition 12” press on
their One After D label to tie in with the Rave zeitgeist of 1991, to help
kickstart a buzz on the track. Once this was ignited the “ suitcase at the
door “ gem was properly released on the main Network label. Acclaimed as an
instant classic both in the UK and USA - where Network label mate Kevin Saunderson
was an enthusiastic early advocate - BREAK OF DAWN is one of the tracks that
truly shaped and defined the House Music explosion. Since then it has matured
like fine wine. To celebrate the 35th anniversary Network invited M.A.S.C
(Mark Archer and Shadow Child) to come up with a remix that befits the as
good as it gets status of the mighty BOD. They duly obliged..it’s a gem.

Following
Andy Butler’s Hercules & Love Affair return, closing out 2025 with a new
tour and the acclaimed four-track Someone Else Is Calling EP (Pitchfork, RA,
Stereogum), he’s back again, now with a set of remixes that include deep
house originator Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers), alongside underground heroes
Ciel, Luke Solomon & CPEN, and Mystery Affair. Someone Else Is Calling
Remixes will be unveiled on April 24 with the release of “Crossed Lines (Mr.
Fingers Acid Mix), ahead of the full package on May 1. “Larry Heard was a
direct inspiration for the original EP,” says Butler. “So having him on this
remix package particularly moved my heart.” This is not the first time one of
house music’s most important pioneers has remixed Butler’s work. The late
great Frankie Knuckles famously put his rendition on Butler’s breakout single
“Blind” in 2008. “Like when I first heard Frankie Knuckles’ remix, and
thought how he truly listened to and felt the music, I had that same
experience with Larry’s. I can’t express how grateful I am to have him
participate.” Andy Butler is a pivotal figure in modern queer dance culture.
His work as Hercules & Love Affair has shaped club culture since the
iconic 2008 track “Blind” with ANOHNI — a landmark moment that bridged
underground house, pop, and queer expression |

delivers Groovebox's first-ever vinyl release: a five-track journey through
house and electro, balancing warmth, tension, groove, and emotion across a
12" and digital EP. Bad Idea Pt.1 opens the record with a playful and
constantly evolving house cut full of unexpected turns, swinging grooves, and
subtle details. Fellow Warsaw artist PayoYayo reshapes the original into a
driving, tool-focused reinterpretation, hypnotic, functional, and built for
the darker hours of the dancefloor. On A3, Bad Idea Pt.2 sharpens the rhythm
with restless percussion, rolling movement, and stripped-back energy designed

60 artists from 9 countries
gathered in Armenia for the first edition of Notations Laboratory: a two-week
interdisciplinary platform initiated and curated by hosq Foundation, bringing
together musicians, sound artists, composers, and visual artists to collaboratively
explore new artistic forms. Using Avet Terterian's Symphony No. 3 as a
conceptual and sonic point of departure, the participants created 11 original
compositions during the laboratory through collective experimentation,
improvisation, electroacoustic composition, and cross-disciplinary exchange.
Rather than a fixed-genre compilation, the record captures the energy of a
temporary artistic ecosystem formed in real time through shared process and
collective creation, moving between ambient, drone, contemporary electronic
music, experimental folk, and electroacoustic sonic practices. Recorded and
produced during Notations Laboratory 2025 at the State Philharmonia of
Armenia |

OLIVER HO returns as SLOW WHITE
FALL with a new album. Three years after his last release, FLOOD (2023),
Oliver Ho reactivates his most introspective pseudonym, SLOW WHITE FALL,
unveiling a new 11-track album: O CURSE UPON THOU HOUSE. Presented by KR3, the
album continues the sonic journey that defines SLOW WHITE FALL, described by
Oliver as "atmospheric metal / post-rock soundscapes / drones."
These elements unfold through raw, sharp atmospheres, creating a
contemplative and mystical listening experience. The album will be released
on vinyl in two editions: standard and limited. The limited edition will also
include a 16-page fanzine featuring photographs taken by Oliver Ho, designed
to expand the dialogue between sound and visual identity - an essential
dimension of the project. The vinyl edition contains 8 of the 11 tracks,
while the remaining 3 will be available exclusively as digital bonus

techno institution Soma Records celebrate 35 years with specially-curated
SOMA35 EP remix series. Celebrating a truly vital and enduring presence in
the global techno landscape, Soma Records' 35 Year anniversary project will
be brought to life through a series of specially-curated remix EPs.
Co-founded in 1991 by the iconic electronic music duo Slam, Dave Clarke, and
Glenn Gibbons, the Glasgow-based Soma label is a techno institution. With a
long-standing reputation for quality and longevity, the imprint has played a
foundational role in the development of techno both in the UK and worldwide,
and in the discovery and support of exceptional musical talent. Showcasing
the breath of Soma's reach across the techno scene past and present, the
SOMA35 EP project brings together a selection of the biggest names in techno
that Slam and Soma have worked with over the years, alongside new artists
whose sound naturally aligns with the label's distinct sonic identity. It's
only fitting that label heads Slam kick off this landmark project, marking a
colossal milestone - the label's 700th release - with 'SOMA 35.1'. This
